Oct. 25, 2019 -- A Tibetan cultural delegation, organized by the State Council Information Office of China and led by Jinmei Wangcuo, secretary general of Tibet Association for International Cultural Exchange, visited France, the Netherlands and Lithuania from Oct.14th to Oct.22th.
During the nine-day visit, they met with parliamentary members, local officials, students and teachers of universities, and representatives of overseas Chinese.
The delegation held seminars on Tibetan medicine and the reincarnation of Living Buddhas, gave interviews to present Tibet’s achievements in ethnic unity, social and economic development and opening-up in the past 60 years since its democratic reform in 1959, and rebutted the lies that the Dalai Lama group spread overseas.
The delegation also visited French National Assembly and Senate, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Holland-China Friendship Association and some universities.
The delegation left Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, on Oct.22nd, concluding the nine-day visit to Europe.
